Course Content
This course introduces you to academic research in the fields of financial accounting, auditing, financial statement analysis, and valuation, with an emphasis on empirical work. Among others, the course will introduce you to different research methods and current issues in accounting research and practice. We will also discuss research papers from substantive areas, possibly including fair value accounting, disclosure, International Financial Reporting Standards, auditing, pension accounting, and accounting choice/earnings management. This topic list will evolve as the course progresses.
